Who Are Battling Breast Cancer.
About the Foundation
Continuing a Legacy of Strength & Care

The Dr. Carolynne Phillips Foundation (DCPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting caregivers of those battling breast cancer. Founded in 2020 by Bishop William Murphy III, the foundation was created to honor the legacy of his mother, Dr. Carolynne Phillips

Today, the foundation extends her impact by providing resources for caregivers, patients, and students, ensuring families navigating this disease have the support they need to finish strong.

But the mission doesn’t stop there. DCPF also works to raise awareness, foster community support, and inspire hope for those walking this difficult journey. By combining practical resources with faith-based encouragement, the foundation is committed to not only meeting immediate needs but also building long-term resilience in families touched by breast cancer.
The Founder’s Vision
Finishing What She Started
Dr. Carolynne Phillips was more than a mother—she was a remarkable woman whose life embodied perseverance, strength, and faith.

From becoming a young mother in high school, to earning her doctorate, to retiring from General Motors, she showed what determination could achieve. Her mantra was simple yet powerful: help people.
She became an example for women everywhere, especially single mothers, proving that with perseverance, determination, and faith, goals can be reached and lives can be changed.
The foundation now carries forward this spirit—continuing her work of empowering others and providing hope where it’s needed most.
